Thank you dinner

In November the DMRC Benevolent Fund took the opportunity to thank its supporters and volunteers for their amazing support with an event at Stanford Hall.

Welcome drinks and canapés greeted attendees before heading to the theatre to hear from the Commanding Officer of DMRC Stanford Hall, Group Captain Claire Myhill KHDS RAF and Chair of the Trustees, Major Matt Perkins RAMC who informed guests about the role the charity plays.

We then heard from two former patients, Flt Lt Ben Holmes and Flt Lt Alexander Andrews, who outlined how being at the DMRC Stanford Hall aided their recovery but also how the charity enhanced that experience. They have both now given back to the charity by taking on challenges to fundraise.

We also heard from current patient Pte Chris Grimes, who shared his journey and how the unit and the charity helped him along the way. Chris took part in the Superhero Trip this Summer to raise funds for the Benevolent Fund.

Guests were then invited to a 3-course dinner provided by ESS support services Worldwide who also part-sponsors the event.

We would like to thank all of our guests for their continued support and friendship.
